On 2 June 2026, EFAMA hosted its second annual conference on tokenisation, the Digital Assets Forum, in Brussels. Following the success of the 2025 event, we brought together key policymakers, regulators, and DLT experts from across the financial services industry, including traditional players and fintechs.
We looked at what the last 12 months brought about in terms of broader industry adoption of digital assets and what it means going forward. There is a distinct sense that the industry is split into digital leaders and laggards, with a growing gap between the two. The varied products and services that run on blockchain are looking to scale up, while regulators around the world are walking the fine rope between protecting financial stability and investors, and facilitating innovation.
The morning was reserved for a buy-side only session, involving external expert guest speakers. The afternoon public event showcased expert discussions covering regulatory developments, tokenised product offerings as well as the broader DLT ecosystem.
